DCI Database for Commerce and Industry AG, operator of Europe’s largest Internet marketplace for IT and telecom products, today announced that it has entered into a strategic agreement with IDG Interactive GmbH, subsidiary of the world’s leading IT media, research, and exposition company, IDG. Cooperation between DCI and IDG Interactive will focus primarily on the joint delivery of DCI WebTradeCenter product and retail information to private consumers in the future. With this cooperative agreement, DCI extends the b2b supply chain from the manufacturer right down to the end customer. Under the terms of this agreement, DCI will supply IDG Interactive with up-to-the-minute IT product data for its online media(pcwelt.de, macwelt.de, gamestar.de and tecChannel.de). IDG Interactive, on the other hand, will enrich DCI’s online marketplace with editorial content and support DCI in its efforts to acquire new partners and distribution channels.
