Quartal 2000: 125% Umsatzplus; Ergebnis verbessert secunet hat im 3. Quartal 2000 ihren dynamischen Wachstumspfad fortgesetzt. Mit einem Umsatz von 9,2 Mill. DM im Zeitraum von Juli bis September 2000 hat Deutschlands führender IT-Sicherheitsdienstleister den Umsatz im Vergleich zum entsprechenden Vorjahresquartal (4,1 Mill. DM) um 125% steigern können. In den ersten neun Monaten des Jahres 2000 wurde ein Umsatz von 21,5 Mill. DM erzielt. Dies entspricht einem Plus von über 60% im Vergleich zum entsprechenden Vorjahreszeitraum (12,6 Mill. DM). Mit einer vergleichbaren Wachstumsrate rechnet das Management auch für den gesamten Jahresumsatz 2000. Das Ergebnis im 3. Quartal liegt bei -1,0 Mill. DM; dies ist eine deutliche Verbesserung des Wertes aus dem 3. Quartal 1999 (-2,4 Mill. DM). Somit fiel der aufgelaufene Fehlbetrag in den ersten neun Monaten des Jahres mit 4,1 Mill. DM um 279 TDM bzw. 6,4% geringer aus als im vergleichbaren Vorjahreszeitraum. Die Einrichtung des Schulungszentrums in München, der starke Personalaufbau sowie Vorinvestitionen für internationale M&A- Aktivitäten schlagen sich in besonderer Weise auf der Kostenseite nieder und werden das Jahresergebnis entsprechend belasten. Mit diesen Investitionen in die Zukunft ist secunet auf einem guten Weg in Richtung Profitabilität, die im Jahr 2001 erreicht werden soll. With sales worth DM 9.2 million from July to September 2000, the leading German IT security consulting company increased its sales by 125% as compared to the same quarter last year (DM 4.1 million). During the first nine months of 2000, the company recorded sales of DM 21.5 million, which corresponds to an increase of more than 60% as compared to the same period in 1999 (DM 13.4 million). Management expects revenues for the entire business year 2000 to reach the same growth rate. Earnings for the third quarter were -DM 1.0 million, which represents a significant improvement over the third quarter value for 1999 (-DM 2.4 million). As a result, losses over the first nine months of the year, amounting to DM 4.1 million, were 6.4% or DM 279,000 lower than last year. The establishment of a training centre in Munich, the large increases in personnel and preliminary investments for international M & A activities figure prominently on the cost side and will thus have an impact on annual results as well. Due to these investments in the future, secunet is proceeding firmly on the path toward profitability, which should be reached in 2001.
