Der Aufsichtsrat der Kölner QSC AG, Deutschlands führendem alternativen Anbieter von DSL-Infrastruktur, hat Gerd Eickers, bislang stellvertretender Aufsichtratsvorsitzender, in die neugeschaffene Position des Chief Operating Officers berufen. Um dies zu ermöglichen, hat Gerd Eickers seine Position im Aufsichtsrat niedergelegt. Mit der neu geschaffenen Position reagiert die QSC AG auf das rasante Wachstum des firmeneigenen Netzes sowie des DSL-Marktes. Als Firmengründer und langjähriger Marktkenner der Telekommunikationsbranche ist Eickers die optimale Besetzung für die Position des Chief Operating Officers. Der Vorstandsvorsitzende der QSC AG, Bernd Schlobohm, wird sich verstärkt der strategischen Ausrichtung des Unternehmens widmen und im Zuge der Neu-Organisation der Aufgabenverteilung im Vorstand auch die unmittelbare Verantwortung für das Marketing übernehmen. Torsten Scheuermann, bislang im QSC-Vorstand für Marketing und Vertrieb zuständig, verlässt das Unternehmen. The Supervisory Board of QSC AG, Cologne, Germany_s leading provider of DSL infrastructure, has appointed Gerd Eickers, until now Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, to the newly-created position of Chief Operating Officer. Gerd Eickers resigned from his position on the Supervisory Board so that he could accept the appointment. In creating this new management post, QSC AG is responding to the rapid growth of its own proprietary network and of the DSL market as a whole. A founder of the company and an expert with many years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Eickers is the ideal choice for the position of Chief Operating Officer. The CEO of QSC AG, Bernd Schlobohm, will focus more intensively in future on the strategic direction set for the company. After restructuring and redistribution of responsibilities among the Board members, Schlobohm will assume direct responsibility for marketing.
