Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— CeoTronics AG Halbjahresergebnisse Umsatzsteigerung / Minus-Ergebnis / Hoher Auftragsbestand/ Investitionen zahlen sich aus Die am Neuen Markt notierte (WKN 540740) CeoTronics AG Audio Video Data Communication hat den nach US-GAAP konsolidierten Umsatz im 1. Halbjahr des Geschäftsjahres 2000 / 2001 per 30.11.2000 um 9,25 % auf 5.812 TEUR steigern können. Im II. Quartal wurde eine Umsatzverbesserung von 74,8 % gegenüber dem I. Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres erzielt. Die Umsatzsteigerung des II. Quartals im Vergleich zum II. Quartal des Vorjahres betrug 30,8 %. Die sehr guten Auftragseingänge im I. + II. Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres zeigen sich im ca. 100 % höheren Auftragsbestand per 30.11.2000. Das DVFA-Konzernergebnis der ersten 6 Monate des Geschäftsjahres beträgt -1.097 TEUR. Das Ergebnis pro Aktie gemäß DVFA / SG lautet -1,12 Euro. Traditionell ist das erste Halbjahr des am 31. Mai zu Ende gehenden Geschäftsjahres schwächer als das zweite Halbjahr. In diesem Jahr sind u. a. Vorbereitungs-Kosten für die derzeit in der Produktion befindlichen Großaufträge der französischen Behörden enthalten, die sich im Minus-Ergebnis zeigen. Ferner sind für die Verluste in der Zwischenperiode u. a. Investitionen für das innere Wachstum der Gesellschaft, höhere Bezugspreise durch die Verknappung von elektronischen Komponenten, Integrationskosten nach der Übernahme der Audio- Division von DTC (USA), Aufbau von Produktionskapazitäten und Investitionen in Forschung + Entwicklung verantwortlich. Aufgrund des hohen Auftragsbestands und der weiterhin guten Auftragseingänge ist der Vorstand optimistisch, die gesetzten Ziele bis zum 31.05.2001 erreichen zu können. Compared to the first quarter of the current business year, CeoTronics was able to increase its sales by 74.8 per cent. The increase in sales of the second quarter compared to the second quarter of the previous year was 30.8 per cent. The high number of incoming orders in the first and second quarter of the current business year is reflected in the approximately 100 per cent higher order backlog as of November 30, 2000. The net income (DVFA) of the first six months of the current business year amounts to -1,097 TEuro. Earnings per share according to DVFA / SG are -1.12 Euro. Traditionally, the first half of the business year (ending May 31) is lower than the second half. This years minus result is charged among others by prearrangement expenses for the bulk orders of the French Authorities, which are presently in progress. Higher purchase prices based on the shortage of electronic components, integration expenses after the acquisition of the Audio Division of DTC (USA), expenses for setting-up new production capacities and investments for research & development are circumstances, which are additionally among others responsible for the losses in the first half of the business year. Based on the high order backlog and the continuing increasing orders, the Board of Management feels optimistic to be able to achieve the goals set by May 31, 2001.
