Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer has the sole responsibility of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– DEWB acquires an eleven percent share in DSM Computer AG The Munich IT company offers high-powered industrial computers and high-end industrial servers. The listed venture capital company DEWB (Deutsche Effecten- und Wechsel- Beteiligungsgesellschaft; ) AG has acquired eleven percent of the shares in DSM Computer AG. After OASIS SiliconSystems Holding AG, the Munich company is the second venture capital participation by DEWB in the current financial year. DSM Computer AG develops, produces and sells highly integrated and miniaturized computer technology (embedded systems) and high-end servers for industrial use. The basic hardware and software systems are used for intelligent management and control of industrial applications. For example, DSM systems are used in industrial automation for controlling production robots, in telecommunications systems and in the case of professional computer centers in server technology and systems. The IT company is therefore operating on worldwide markets with growth rates of up to 80 percent. Sophisticated modular system makes customized system solutions possible. DSM’s products are particularly marked by their modular construction: in comparison with individual development solutions by competitors, DSM systems which are manufactured in different batch sizes are able to produce quicker and more economically. For DSM’s customers, this means tangible competition advantages; with this modular system, they are able to bring new products and product improvements onto the market with the minimum of time delays. Rigorous expansion of established market positions. With the incoming funds, DSM is intending to push ahead with further growth and to establish its position on the international market. The company formed in 1981 now has some 50 employees and has successfully established itself on the market with reputable companies such as DaimlerChrysler, Alcatel, GMX, ThyssenKrupp and Siemens.
