Ad hoc-Service: Rosenbauer International english

Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– 4th May 2001 ROSENBAUER GROUP: The Executive Board of the listed company Rosenbauer International AG presented the Group’s 2000 figures at a press conference held today. Thanks to special projects for the delivery of fire-fighting vehicles to China and South America, Group revenues rose to EUR 287.7 m in 2000, from EUR 241.0 m in 1999. The “Profit before tax” rose from EUR 1.7 m to EUR 2.7 m, in line with the increase in the “Profit from operations” (according to the International Accounting Standards). The EUR 4.9 m of costs for restructuring (as against EUR 0.0 m in 1999) is largely attributable to the costs of the reorganisation of the Metz Group that was started in 2000. As the market cannot be expected to recover this year either, an extensive reorganisation of the Karlsruhe site was commenced at the beginning of 2001. This reorganisation aims to reduce all administrative costs significantly, thereby lowering the break-even point. At EUR 6.1 m (1999: 0.0 m), the “Discontinuing operations” relates principally to the closure of the insolvent Dutch subsidiary Rosenbauer BV, based at Hedel in the Netherlands. The Executive Board of the Rosenbauer Group intends to propose to the General Meeting that a dividend of EUR 0.60 per share should be distributed (1999: EUR 1.16 per share). end of ad hoc announcement (c) DGAP 04.05.2001 Issuer’s information/explanation remarks concerning this ad hoc announcement: Outlook Despite the difficult conditions prevailing on the European market, in the current business year the Management is confident of maintaining revenues while increasing the Group’s “Profit before tax”.
