SZ Testsysteme AG, Amerang near Wasserburg, increased its sales to DM 92.3 mill. (47.2 mill. Euro) in the first nine months of the current business year (qualifying date: 30 September) as compared DM 51.8 mill. (26.5 mill. Euro) in the same period of the previous year. The company was thus able to increase sales by 78 percent in the period under review. The manufac-turer of test systems for the semiconductor industry registered sales totalling DM 28.0 mill. (14.3 mill. Euro) in the third quarter of the current business year (1 April to 30 June 2001). This represents an increase of 28-percent as compared to the same quarter of the previous business year (DM 21.9 mill. or 11.2 mill. Euro). Incoming orders in the third quarter of the current business year, totalling DM 5.1 mill. (2.6 mill. Euro), were below the levels seen in the previous year (DM 11.2 mill. or 5.7 mill. Euro) due to the current situation in the semiconductor industry. In a 9-month comparison, the accumulated incoming orders in the period be-tween October and June, totalling DM 78.2 mill. (40.0 mill. Euro), were roughly on the same level as those registered in the previous year, amounting to DM 81.2 mill. (41.5 mill. Euro). The level of orders as of 30 June 2001 was approximately DM 25 mill. DM (12.8 mill. Euro).
