The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– GERICOM AG sales rise by 84 % in the first half of 2001 Linz, July 31, 2001. In the first half of 2001, GERICOM AG, which is listed on the New Market (WKN 565773), achieved sales of around EUR 268.2 million. This figure corresponds with an increase over the same period of 2000 of 83.8% (sales 1st half-year 2000: EUR 145.9 million). Sales in the second quarter of 2001 totalled around EUR 105 million (2nd quarter 2000: EUR 65.7 million). Interim calculations for the second quarter of 2001 also show a marked rise in EBIT in comparison with the same period of the preceding year. The current order backlog for the delivery period of August 2001 stands at approximately 22,000 notebooks, which corresponds to an increase of 83% compared to August 2000 (around 12,000 notebooks). The final figures for the first half-year 2001 will be released in the first part of August 2001.
