The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Internet dating provider MatchNet successfully implements business model Record revenues in Q3 2001, first quarterly net profit Frankfurt/Main, 19 November 2001 – MatchNet plc (MHJG: Frankfurt Stock Exchange – Neuer Markt), one of the world’s largest online dating service providers, announced today that it continues to substantially increase revenue and profits on a quarterly basis. Revenues for Q3 2001 were Euro 3,382,529 compared with Euro 1,323,773 in the third quarter of 2000, an increase of 156%. Revenues for the first nine months of 2001 amounted to Euro 8,170,225 compared with Euro 2,993,637 in 2000, an increase of 173%.Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in Q3 2001 were Euro 934,575 compared to Euro (1,342,352) in the third quarter of 2000. The company also reported its first quarterly net profit in the amount of Euro 412,605 compared with a net loss in the same period a year earlier. The significant expansion of profits and revenue are the result growth of membership, cost containment and achieving critical operational mass. Management expects the Company to continue to exceed its revised Revenue and EBITA projections which were released in May 2001 for the remainder of the year. As a result of these positive financial developments and the successful acquisition of its German competitor Flirtmaschine.de management is currently reviewing its 2002 forecasts.
