Project delays at Energiekontor AG Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Project delays at Energiekontor AG Bremen, 21. December 2001. The realisation of projects due in the fourth quarter of the current business year will be delayed until 2002. This delay which had already been announced by Energiekontor CEO Dr. Bodo Wilkens in November, is due to a change in the German legislation for energy plants which came into effect in August 2001. These changes in the German Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) will have a positive effect on future wind farm projects. However, in the transition period the changes led to delays in the finalisation of some projects. These delays will hence influence the achievement of the turnover- and EBIT-targets of Energiekontor AG in 2001. According to current evaluations the growth in turnover will not reach the planned 75% but only reach a growth rate between 30 and 45%. Therefore, turnover will be between EUR 92 and 102 mil, while EBIT will be between EUR 8.7 and 10 mil. Realisation of projects planned by Energiekontor AG for 2002 will not be influenced negatively by the changes in the federal law.
