Continuing strong growth of Amadeus Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Frankfurt/Main, 21st of January 2002. In a recessive environment Amadeus Group succeeds to strengthen its market position and to extend its market share during the first nine months of fiscal year 2001/2002 (01.04.-31.12.2001). Amadeus’ total sales increased by 54,9 percent compared to prior year to KEuro 51.590. The organic growth rate amounts to 28,6 percent after nine months and outperforms the growth of the staffing industry (approx. 5 percent in 2001) by far. The EBITA for the first nine months amounts to KEuro 6.643 (prior year KEuro 4.202), an increase of 58,1 percent. After the first three quarters Amadeus achieved an EBITA margin of 12,9 percent (prior year 12,6 percent). The EBITA margin for the third quarter of the current fiscal year amounts to 9,5 percent. The EBITA margin decline compared to prior year is influenced by the recessive economic environment, the start-up costs of the newly opened locations and the integration costs of the new daughter companies. The net income after minorities for the nine months amounts to KEuro 3.062 (+ 45,0 percent to prior year), resulting in Euro 0,59 earnings per share. Due to the unchanged weak economy Amadeus’ board expects a 4th quarter below the original plan and reduces the EBITA projections for the current fiscal year by approx. 5 percent. This corresponds to an EBITA of approx. Euro 9 Mio for fiscal year 2001/2002and a growth of more than 40 percent on prior year. The Nine Months Report for fiscal year 2001/2002 is available on the Amadeus homepage http://www.AmadeusAG.de . Amadeus AG Robert v.
