ELMOS: New Airbag Chip-set for Temic Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– ELMOS: New Airbag Chip-set for Temic The ELMOS Semiconductor AG (NM: ELG) received from Temic GmbH (shareholders are 60% Continental Teves and 40% DaimlerChrysler) the order to develop a new chip- set for safety restraint systems (belt tensioner and airbags). After a successful development of the 4 asics sales contributions can be expected starting in 2004 with EUR 8 million and growing up to EUR 16 million per annum. This development contract demonstrates ELMOS’ capability to grow its core competence “electronics for automotive safety”. In parallel to Temic’s project, developments of chip-sets for Autoliv and ASL-Takata are in progress.
