The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– init was awarded tender for further e-ticketing system init innovation in traffic sytems AG is going to equip the vehicles of the Verkehrs- und Wasser GmbH in Oldenburg / Germany with an integrated telematics and fare collection system. The total volume of the order which has been just signed amounts to 1.8 Mio. Euro and will effect the sales figures for the year 2002. init supplies and installs in total about 100 vehicles with on-board computers with integrated fare collection and traffic signal priority systems as well as TOUCHmobil ticket machines for buses. Additionally, part of the buses will be equipped with an automatic passenger counting system. The Verkehrs- und Wasser GmbH in Oldenburg is the fourth transport authority in the region of Bremen-Niedersachsen introducing an e-ticketing system of init. Thus, tickets can be bought electronically, be saved on a chip of a pay-card and also be controlled electronically. E-ticketing is more comfortable for the passenger. For the transport authority it saves considerable costs for stationary ticket machines, the maintenance of the equipment and the handling of the payment process.
