The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– ELMOS: New car generator controller Chip for VALEO The ELMOS Semiconductor AG (NM: ELG) received from VALEO Systemes Electrique Division Alternator, France, the order to develop a new single-chip-controller for car generators. After a successful development, sales contributions can be expected starting in 2004 with EUR 1 million and growing up to EUR 18 million per annum. This development contract underlines ELMOS’ capabilities in the field of high- temperature electronics based on its proprietary Silicon-On-Insulator-process technology. The first generation of such generator-controllers with an ELMOS chip is being manufactured in volume since 4th quarter of the year 2001.
