GERICOM sales considerably up in the second quarter of 2002 Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Linz, July 2, 2002. GERICOM AG, which is listed on the New Market in Frankfurt, is back on a growth course and according to preliminary figures achieved sales of some EUR 123 m in the 2nd quarter of 2002. This corresponds with an increase of around 17% over the same period of 2001 (2nd quarter 2001: EUR 104.9). As at June 30, 2002, order backlog stood at around EUR 46 m. This corresponds with a 15% rise over the same figure for the preceding year (approx. EUR 40 m). The satisfactory trend of the second quarter was primarily due to the successful launch of the new X5 Outdoor Notebook. In addition, expansion in France with the new sales partners, FNAC and Auchan, two of the country’s largest chain stores, was also highly beneficial. The finalised sales and earnings figures for the 2nd quarter of 2002 will be announced on August 23, 2002.
