Energiekontor switches to the regulated market Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Bremen, 24. July 2002. Energiekontor AG has submitted an application to the Deutsche Börse AG to terminate the listing of the Energiekontor share on the Neuer Markt at the end of trading on 20th August and instead to list its share on the regulated market of the Frankfurt stock exchange from 21st August 2002 onwards. In doing so, Energiekontor AG is taking account of the crisis in confidence in the Neuer Markt. The company also feels that the increasing reticence of institutional investors to invest in shares in the Neuer Markt is causing a problem. In the opinion of Energiekontor, the price development of the Enegiekontor share does not reflect the good economic environment for wind power nor the solid standing of Energiekontor. Energiekontor AG has more experience than any other company in the industry; it has increased its profits since being founded in the early 1990s and is well equipped for the future with a high liquidity reserve. The company has furthermore already managed to offer its shareholders increasing dividends. Energiekontor AG assumes that it will be assessed on a more objective and less biased basis after it changes sector and that it will be more able to convince investors to make a long-term commitment to the company.
