VA TECH CNI (VA TECH CNI Control, Networks & Information Management), jointly owned by VA TECH SAT and PSI, was awarded a contract to supply a network control system for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Malaysia’s largest utility. The new system is designed to control the distribution network of TNB’s metro region, spanning the capital Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding Klang valley. The order for the entire system is worth more than Euro 7 million. Founded as recently as May 2002 by VA TECH SAT and PSI for worldwide marketing of all-inclusive solutions in the energy control sector, VA TECH CNI’s portfolio combines PSI’s high-end control systems with the innovative range of products offered by VA TECH SAT for station automation, remote control, and data communication to provide leading turn-key solutions for power utilities all over the world.
