The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Ad-hoc message on fiscal 2002 Positive end to fiscal year, announcement of dividend Geratherm Medical AG: 10 April 2003: In the past fiscal year the company was able to raise its operational profits (EBIT) by 51% to EURO 776,000. Unfavourable exchange rates caused sales revenues to fall slightly by 7.7% to EURO 6.7 million. The share of exports rose from 72% in the previous year to 78%. The operational margin (EBITDA) came to 19.9%, as compared to 15.3% in the previous year. The contribution of the financial result came to EURO 28,000, significantly less than the EURO 410,000 of the previous year. Net earnings after taxes came to EURO 958,000 as against the previous years figure of EURO 1,164,000. The companys equity amounts to EURO 3.51 per share. Short-term liquidity and securities came to EURO 8,162,000 as at 31 December 2002 compared to EURO 7,624,000 in the previous year. Both the Managing Board and the Supervisory Board are proposing to the Annual General Meeting to pay a tax-free dividend of 20 cents for each individual share certificate. The freedom from tax is due to the use of the tax deposit account (formerly EK 04). The company expects the positive business trend to continue in 2003, based on the Managing Boards assumption of a double-digit growth in sales revenues accompanied by the same quality of earnings.
