Silicon Sensor: Sales rose by 5 %, Earnings rose by 38 %

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Silicon Sensor on solid growth course, Sales rose by 5 %, Earnings rose by 38 % The Silicon Sensor groups attained a solid growth tempo in the first nine months of the 2003 business year. We are able to report positive business performance. As compared to the same time period in the previous year, turnover rose by 5 % from Euro 8.73 mn to Euro 9.2 mn. Earnings after interest and taxes were improved by 38 % in the past nine months, from a profit of Euro 384,000 (Sept. 30, 2002) to a profit of Euro 531,000 (Sept. 30, 2003). EBITDA rose by 3 % from Euro 1.58 mn (Sept. 30, 2002) to Euro 1.62 mn (Sept. 30, 2003). The operating result EBIT increased by 19 % from Euro 625,000 (Sept. 30, 2002) to Euro 745,000 (Sept. 30, 2003). Current liabilities decreased by 26 % from Euro 3.43 mn (Sept. 30, 2002) to Euro 2.54 mn (Sept. 30, 2003). Non-current liabilities decreased by 17 % from Euro 4.25 mn (Sept. 30, 2002) to Euro 3.52 mn (Sept. 30, 2003). Net equity rate rose to 56.5 %. Earnings per share totalled Euro 0.24 during the reporting period, improving by Euro 0.07 as compared to the same time period in the previous year (Sept. 30, 2002: Euro 0.17). The group s orders on hand were stabilized on the same value like second quarter. We hope, that we can increase the orders on hand end of the year.
