SHS Informationssysteme and SAP announce cooperation

Corporate-news announcement sent by DGAP. The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– SHS Informationssysteme and SAP announce cooperation Munich, July 8, 2004. The IT solutions provider SHS Informationssysteme AG today announced that it will cooperate with SAP effective immediately. “This cooperation marks a breakthrough for our GUARDEAN IT solution and a huge step ahead for SHS,” says Dirk Roesing, CEO of Munich-based SHS Informationssysteme AG, commenting on the decision made by the two companies. Walldorf-based SAP AG, the world’s leading provider of business software solutions, has developed a new generation of its Credit Management software which can be linked to SHS GUARDEAN Agency Gateway via a special interface. The SHS product enables the SAP system to access information from some 40 credit reference agencies in 12 European countries automatically and within just a few seconds. Data can be retrieved in any combination. The SAP software, which can be connected to GUARDEAN Agency Gateway, has been shipped to selected customers since late June. Dietmar Schmidt, head of sales and marketing at SHS, comments: “The Gateway is unique in that it ensures a reliable, automated query of many credit reference agencies throughout Europe.” How do customers benefit from that? Enterprises benefit from the cooperation because it enables them to check the creditworthiness of their customers quickly and based on solid data. They receive a complete and reliable overall picture of their customers including all information which is relevant for decision- making, such as payment histories and credit limits. This ensures that payment and bad debt risks are detected early and can be reduced considerably. SHS provides the GUARDEAN Agency Gateway both as an ASP solution as well as a license model that is adapted to the customer’s own system environment. The Agency Gateway can also be purchased as a separate module as part of the proven GUARDEAN customer risk and customer value management system. “The combined evaluation of customer risk and customer value generates a significant competitive advantage,” says Dietmar Schmidt. How the GUARDEAN customer risk management system works: Once the initial application data has been entered, the system immediately verifies the consistency of address and bank data and checks them against available black and white lists. The checked data is then enriched with additional information from credit reference agencies via the SHS gateway, enabling companies to gain a comprehensive picture of their customers and identify profitable and unprofitable customers early on.
