The Group has taken a 100 % stake in the Canplast Group based in Montreal (Canada). The company posted sales of 48 million Can $ (30 million EUR) in 2003 with a workforce of some 225 staff. Canplast has manufacturing facilities in Montreal and Brampton (Canada), and in Greensboro (USA). High-quality plastic edgings for the furnishing industry are the main sales products. SURTECO has improved its position in the North American market with the acquisition of the Canplast Group.
