The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Munich, February 25th, 2005 – The LUDWIG BECK Group will close the fiscal year 2004 with an estimated operating result (EBIT) of EUR 3.3 million (EUR 1.9 million) generating net sales in the amount of EUR 86.7 million (EUR 80,3 million). The expected result at Group level will amount to EUR -0.2 million (EUR -0.9 million). Sales revenue at group level could be raised by 8 %. On sales area adjusted basis, too, sales revenue rose by 2.4 %. Due to this development gross margin less VAT and material costs increased by 9.0 % to EUR 40.2 million (EUR 36.9 million). The gross margin quote improved by 0.5 % from 45.9 % in 2003 to 46.4 %. Due to the realisation of a package of measures implemented in 2004 costs could be reduced from 43.5 % in the previous year to 42.6 %. These measures will also have a positive full-year-effect on the results in 2005. For these reasons the Board of Management is expecting to return to profit again in 2005.
