The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ad-hoc Disclosure According to § 15 WpHG Interim Result in 2004 2004 marked by positive development – Dividend increase Geschwenda, March 9, 2005: Geratherm Medical AG, which is listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, announces the provisional figures for the 2004 business year. Sales, amounting to Euro 7.2 million, are slightly lower than last’s year level with a minus of 3.6% as a result of currency exposure. The EBITDA margin increased to 20% in 2004, up from 17%. At EUR 1.032 million, Geratherm’s operating result (EBIT) is 35% higher than the previous year. The group was also able to attain a positive financial income in the amount of EUR 264 thousand (2003: EUR 614 thousand). The profit/loss from ordinary activities amounted to EUR 1.296 million (-6%). The group’s net income for the year (EAT) is EUR 1.343 million or EUR 0.30 per share (compared to EUR 0.35 in 2003). The proposed dividend is 28 euro cents per share (2003: 24 euro cents). The dividend will be distributed from the tax deposit account and thus has no impact on taxation. The final detailed figures will be released on April 13, 2005.
