The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Starnberg, April 28, 2005. DCI AG announces today its the result for the first quarter (Q1) of 2005. The Groups consolidated operating Q1 result amounted to a loss of EUR 209k, whereas the Group achieved a positive result of EUR 281k in the comparable quarter of the previous year (Q1/2004). The latter was largely due to reversed accruals because of a won lawsuit. The results for Q1/2005, although negative, are better than planned. On a quarterly basis, Group sales totaled EUR 660 after EUR 830k in Q1/2004. Compared to Q4/2004, the slump in sales was only 6%. Ongoing cost reductions lowered operating expenditure from EUR 851k in Q1/2004 to the current figure of EUR 640k (Q1/2005). As of March 31, 2005, the Group had cash and cash equivalents of EUR 1,840k, of this disposable EUR 1,733k. Equity capital was EUR 1,975 (Q1/2004: EUR 2,980k; end of year 2004: EUR 2,183k). The business figures have been ascertained according to IFRS (unaudited), the comparable figures of Q1/2004 have been lead over from US-GAAP to IFRS accordingly.
