The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ludwig Beck am Rathauseck: Increase in Turnover and Earnings per April 2005 Munich, May 31st, 2005 – LUDWIG BECK (ISIN DE0005199905) closed the first four months 2005 as per April 30th with a slight increase in turnover compared to the same period 2004. Gross turnover amounted to 30.0 (29.9) million EUR. Gross turnover less VAT and material costs per April could be increased by 0.3 million EUR from 11.9 to 12.2 million EUR compared to the previous year. The cost-income ratio improved by 1.0 point to 47.3 % (46.3 %). The cost rate (personnel costs, depreciation and other operating costs against corresponding other operational earnings and own work capitalized) decreased by 2.1 % to 46.3 % (48.4 %) due to the package of measures started in 2004 and continued in 2005. In total a decrease by 0.5 million EUR from 12.5 to 12.0 million EUR could be achieved. EBITDA could be increased from 0.7 to 1.5 million EUR compared to the previous year. The operating result (EBIT) improved by 0.8 million EUR to 0.3 (-0.5) million EUR compared to last year.
