Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (ISIN DE0005659700), a specialist in radioactive components for medical and industrial use, will acquire, through Isotope Products Laboratories, it’s California subsidiary, all of shares of Atlanta, Georgia (USA)-based Analytics Inc. ( http://www.analyticsinc.com ), effective 11 August 2005. Analytics’ core manufacturing technology is focused on the production of isotopic calibration standards and quality control cross check systems for environmental monitoring and safety assurance in nuclear power plants. In 2004, it achieved sales of approximately $US 3 Million. In the United States the company maintains a strong position in this market, which is related to Eckert & Ziegler’s Nuclear Medicine and Industry business. The acquisition of Analytics will be partially financed by a sellers’ loan.
