METRO AG: Offer terms for Praktiker IPO changed

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Düsseldorf, 17 November 2005 – Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG, the selling shareholder METRO AG and the syndicate banks have revised the terms of the offering for the IPO of Praktiker Bau- und Heimwerkermärkte Holding AG as follows: The price range within which the offered shares may be subscribed has been changed to EUR 14.00 to EUR 15.00 per share. Consequently, the offering period has been extended and ends now on 21 November 2005 at 12:00 p.m. (CET) for private investors, and at 3:00 p.m. (CET) for institutional investors. Due to the aforementioned amendments, the other dates within the time schedule have been changed accordingly. The date for the first day of listing is now 22 November 2005 and the date of the delivery of the shares against payment is now 24 November 2005.
