Flughafen Wien AG: TwoOne Consortium welcomes decision by the Slovakian government

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— The Slovakian government today announced its decision in the privatisation process for 66% of Bratislava and Košice Airports in favour of the TwoOne Consortium led by Flughafen Wien AG. The other members of the consortium are Raiffeisen Zentralbank (RZB) and the Slovakian Penta Equity Group. TwoOne won last week’s second round of bidding over the competition, and will pay a total purchase price of 11.4 billion SKK (approx. EUR 299 mill.) for a 66% stake in these two airports. The proceeds from this transaction will flow in full to the Slovakian Republic. The increase in equity to finance future investments will equal 7.9 billion SKK (ca. EUR 203 mill.) for Bratislava Airport and 380 million SKK (ca. EUR 9.7 mill.) for Košice Airport. The consortium has also provided a commitment to invest 9.8 billion SKK (ca. EUR 250.7 mill.) from 2006-2010. Of this total, 9.37 billion SKK (EUR 240 mill.) will be spent at Bratislava Airport and 415.6 million SKK (EUR 10.7 mill.) at Košice Airport. The first projects to improve the airports and their infrastructure will be started this year. “This partnership will give Bratislava more destinations, higher frequencies and more passengers than any other solution“, emphasized Herbert Kaufmann, member of the Management Board and speaker of Flughafen Wien AG.
