With an export share of 77%, the company achieved a turnover growth of +14% to reach kEUR 8,191. Turnover growth was seen in nearly all sales markets. The Group result (EAT) increased by 18.7% to reach kEUR 1,479 (prev. year: kEUR 1,246). The operating profit (EBITDA) decreased temporarily from kEUR 1,439 to kEUR 986. The causes for this decrease were product approvals and marketing cost of the new warming systems for emergency services as well as the consolidated start-up losses of the subsidiary apoplex medical technologies GmbH in the amount of kEUR 156. Geratherm received FDA approval for the SOS-Rescue Blanket beginning of March 2006. The results for the new study concerning stroke prevention will be presented at the EUROPREVENT 2006 in May in Athens. The EUROPREVENT congress is organized by the European Association of Cardiology. The lower operating result was more than balanced out by financial earnings in the amount of kEUR 803 (prev. year: kEUR 167). The higher annual Group surplus of EUR 0.33 per share (prev. year: EUR 0.28) rendered possible the proposal of increasing the dividend from EUR 0.28 to EUR 0.32. The dividend payment will be conducted in a tax neutral manner. The prospects for 2006 are positive. We expect a further turnover growth of the company, on the basis of an over proportionately growing operating revenue. The financial result will also be able to contribute soundly in 2006, given constant framework conditions. In particular, as the stock price gain since 1 January 2006, not capitalized on yet, amounted to EUR 0.20 per share at the end of February.
