Vossloh AG: Vossloh revises profit forecast for 2006
Ad hoc announcement transmitted by DGAP – a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Vossloh AG: Vossloh revises profit forecast for 2006 Based on the current assessment by the Executive Board it is estimated that the Vossloh Group will achieve earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of EUR 70.3 million (planned: EUR 91.7 million) and annual net profits of EUR 35.6 million (planned: EUR 47.3 million) for the Financial Year 2006. The estimate for the net sales remains unchanged at EUR 1.04 billion. The profit forecast has been revised after the completion of internal assessments today and is primarily based on a deterioration of the prospects of the division Vossloh Information Technologies. The anticipated EBIT for the Financial Year 2006 of this division is expected to decrease by EUR 9.5 million to EUR -3.9 million due to unexpected difficulties in different projects. The profit forecast for the other divisions is reduced by an estimated EUR 7.9 million. This reduction is in particular based on restructuring measures in the division Rail Infrastructure, to which an estimated amount of EUR 2.0 million can be allocated, and expenditures for the settlement of legal disputes in the estimated amount of EUR 2.4 million. In addition, cost reductions from consultancy projects are – contrary to initial expectations – no longer expected in 2006 and can therefore no longer be balanced against the estimated costs in the amount of EUR 4.0 million.
