Martinsried, July 4, 2006 – 1822direkt, the direct bank of the Frankfurter Sparkasse AG and the Hessische Landesbank selected the SHS solution GUARDEAN to optimise the risk management for credit cards conform to Basel II. GUARDEAN is a modular solution to manage credit risks and assess customer potential, thus the software offers an ideal tool for the allocation of credit cards. 1822direkt is 100 percent subsidiary of the Frankfurter Sparkasse AG and the Hessische Landesbank. SHS implements the software GUARDEAN as the key element for the 1822direkt solution. This leads to an efficient and mainly automated, Basel II conform solution for the direct bank. It also enables fast and consistent decisions in the application decision process, throughout all distribution channels. For external data management, the additional standard software SHS Gateway will also be implemented. This allows the integration of up to 40 credit agencies and data providers on an international level in only a few days with minimum effort.
