QSC AG: QSC has won freenet as a further ADSL2+ whole-sale partner

QSC will become the preferred infrastructure supplier for unbundled ADSL2+ connections for freenet AG. From autumn 2006 onwards, freenet, with 830,000 DSL customers as of today, will use QSC’s na-tionwide infrastructure to offer ADSL2+ connections with bandwidths of up to 16Mbit/s that will be available on a “naked” basis i.e. the costumer has the free-dom of choice to buy a DSL connection from a different provider than the one providing the existing telephone connection. The ADSL2+ technology makes it possible for example to download the latest films, documents, software, files and music with high speed. With freenet, QSC has won a further strong wholesale partner, who will market innovative products based on QSC’s nationwide infrastructure in the residential customer segment; further wholesale partners are debitel, HanseNet and Tele-Son. In the wholesale business, QSC itself is focusing on the demand-driven up-grade of its DSL network with ADSL2+ technology, the provision of custom-tailored products and the execution of highly scalable operational processes. In fiscal 2005, the company generated revenues of € 194.4 million, and following the acquisition of a majority stake in Broadnet AG is forecast-ing consolidated annual revenues of over € 265 million for 2006.
