The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ad hoc-announcement according to § 15 WpHG from October 11, 2006; 02:18am New offer period for VERBIO shares and amendment of the price range Hamburg, October 11, 2006 – VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG (ISIN DE000A0JL9W6) and the existing shareholders have jointly determined with Credit Suisse and Dresdner Kleinwort to restart the offer period. The new offer period to submit purchase offers is expected to last from October 11, 2006 to October 13, 2006 at 12.00 (CEST). During this period interested investors can subscribe for the shares at the syndicate banks during regular business hours. Due to the restart of the offering period the placement price is expected to be determined on October 13, 2006. The first day of trading at the Official Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Prime Standard) is envisaged for October 16, 2006. Delivery of the shares against payment of the placement price is planned for October 18, 2006. The price range within which purchase offers may be submitted has been amended and is now set between Euro 14.00 and Euro 15.00 per share. A total of up to 18,200,000 shares in VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG continue to be offered. Thereof up to 13,000,000 shares will come from a capital increase against cash contributions, resolved on October 8, 2006 by the management with the consent of the supervisory board of VERBIO Vereinigte BioEnergie AG and registered with the commercial register on October 9,2006. An additional up to 3,200,000 shares will be offered by existing shareholders. Moreover, the existing shareholders provide for up to 2,000,000 shares to cover overallotments. The above mentioned amendments of the Offering will only become effective provided that the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority approves a second supplement to the prospectus dated September 28, 2006 in the form of the first supplement dated October 5, 2006.
