DEWB AG (Deutsche Effecten- und Wechsel-Beteiligungsgesellschaft AG, ISIN DE0008041005) has today agreed to purchase a 70.3 percent shareholding in KSW Microtec AG, Dresden, from the Austrian Trierenberg Group. In future DEWB will consequently hold 100 percent of the shares in KSW Microtec AG. The transaction will be concluded via a subsidiary of DEWB. A significant part of the purchase price will be financed through a bank loan within the framework of the leveraged buyout. The shareholding in KSW Microtec AG already held by DEWB AG will also be sold to this subsidiary at the same price. ‘This is an opportunity for us to buy into a leading RFID company at attractive terms. With its excellent products and technologies KSW today already has a significant share of the RFID inlays market’ said Falk Nuber, Chairman of DEWB, commenting on the transaction. ‘Over the coming years the company will grow by at least 30 percent.
