Still on course for success with trading up

Munich, 4 January 2007 – Munich fashion group LUDWIG BECK (ISIN DE
0005199905) looks back on an extremely satisfactory financial year 2006
with like-for-like sales on a comparable floor space totalling EUR 101.3
million (previous year: EUR 99.6 million). This figure amounts to 1.8 per
cent growth.

In all, the group’s gross sales at EUR 101.3 million were stable compared
with the previous year’s EUR 101.7 million gross.

'We took our trading-up strategy of generally upgrading the product range
further forward in 2006, and the figures bear out our course', said a
delighted Dieter Münch, LUDWIG BECK’s Chief Financial Officer. 'What is
more', he added, 'Christmas business developed very positively.'

The Management Board is optimistic for the financial year 2007 and
confident of improving further on this positive earnings and sales trend in
the year ahead.

Detailed figures for the financial year 2006 will be published on 12 March
2007.
