ARQUES sells baby carriage manufacturer, teutonia, to strategic investor

Starnberg, February 16, 2007 – The Starnberg-based equity investment
company, ARQUES Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004), has sold its subsidiary,
teutonia Kinderwagenfabrik GmbH, Hiddenhausen, to an American conglomerate.
The transaction volume is above EUR 10 million and is thereby 20% above the
net asset value as determined by ARQUES (EUR 8.2 million). The purchase
price consists of a payment to the value of EUR 9.3 million and other cash
and cash relevant services.

The buyer is the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed US consumer goods
company, Newell Rubbermaid, Atlanta (Georgia). The transaction is subject
to the approval of the relevant cartel authorities. ARQUES is expecting to
announce the closing of the contract within the next 6 weeks.

ARQUES took over the unprofitable baby carriage manufacturer, teutonia, in
April 2004 for a purchase price of EUR 100k. In addition, a 'Bargain
Purchase' to the value of EUR 980k was booked. teutonia is the longest held
subsidiary in the ARQUES group to date. In almost three years, teutonia has
been fundamentally restructured by ARQUES and generated annual revenues of
more than EUR 18 million in 2006 on a clearly profitable basis. (Revenues
2004: EUR 15 million).

At the beginning of December 2006, ARQUES Industries AG listed its
subsidiary, SKW Metallurgie AG, on the stock exchange in the context of a
classical IPO. ARQUES is expecting further sales of subsidiaries during the
current financial year.
