For the purpose of clarification, J.P. Morgan Services Inc., Newark, USA,
has informed us on March 14, 2007 about the withdrawal of their
notification dated May 11, 2005 (published on May 20, 2005). According to
the old and new Transparency Directive as well as the respective German
disclosure rules detailed in the WpHG, J.P. Morgan Services Inc., acting in
its capacity as issuer of depositary receipts, was not and is not required
to notify regarding its holdings in AIXTRON AG, as it satisfies the
conditions that it does not exercise nor intend to exercise the voting
rights.
