SUSS MicroTec AG appoints new Chief Financial Officer

Munich, May 10th 2007 - SUSS MicroTec AG’s (ISIN DE0007226706) Supervisory
Board has appointed Michael Knopp (40) as the Group’s new Chief Financial
Officer. He will join SUSS on August 1st 2007 and succeeds Stephan Schulak
who left the company at the end of March.

Michael Knopp is currently the Managing Director of Kemmax GmbH, an
industrial chemicals company based in Essen, Germany. Kemmax is part of the
publicly listed Canadian company Chemtrade Logistics Group which reports
annual sales of around 370 million Euros. Previously Michael Knopp was the
CFO of REALTECH AG in Walldorf, Germany (2001 to 2005).
