Munich, July 4, 2007: After a positive start into the fiscal year 2007, the
Munich fashion house LUDWIG BECK AG (ISIN DE 0005199905) could continue the
promising trend also in the second quarter. The company generated a gross
turnover of € 46.3m (previous year: € 44.0m) in the first six months of
2007, equaling an increase of 5.2 %. Like-for-like gross sales even rose
more significantly, by 6.3 %, to € 46.3m (previous year: € 43.5m).

'The sales figures for the first six months of the fiscal year 2007 exceed
our expectations', Dieter Münch, Financial Director at LUDWIG BECK AG
explains. 'Fortunately, the VAT increase at the beginning of the year had
no adverse effect on our sales development and there is every reason to
believe that this will also hold true in the future', Münch continues.

For the further course of the fiscal year 2007 the Executive Board expects
continuation of the positive business development and is confident that the
promising trend can be sustained, stabilised and expanded. At present,
LUDWIG BECK is carrying out one of its biggest restructuring projects at
the flagship store at Marienplatz. The enlarged sales areas will be
reopened in September.

2007 will be published on July 26, 2007.
