Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America, New York, United
States, a life insurance company established under the laws of New York
State, notified us in a letter dated July 9, 2007 that its shareholding in
GEA Group AG, Bochum, had fallen below the threshold of 3 percent on July
5, 2007 and subsequently amounted to 2.88 percent of the voting rights in
GEA Group AG (5,612,278 out of a total of 194,366,618 voting rights). All
voting rights have been attributed to Teachers Insurance and Annuity
Association of America pursuant to section 22 (1) sentence 1 No. 6 read in
conjunction with sentences 2 and 3 WpHG.
