Voting rights announcement according to § 26 German Securities Trade
Act (WpHG)

Pursuant to with § 21 (1) of the German Securities Trade Act (WpHG), Harris
Associates Inc., Chicago, U.S., has informed us on July 30, 2007, that the
proportion of voting rights in MLP AG, Wiesloch, Germany, exceeded the
threshold of 5 % on October 18, 2006 and on the state amounted to 5.02 %
(this corresponds to 5,449,182 voting rights).

5.02% of these voting rights (this corresponds to 5,449,182 shares) are
attributable to Harris Associates Inc. in accordance with § 22 (1)
sentence 1 no. 6 in connection with § 22 (1) sentence 2 of the German
Securities Trade Act (WpHG).
