ARQUES reduces share in ARQUANA AG to below 20%

• Sale of 29.9% to international investor

Starnberg, August 23, 2007 - The Starnberg-based equity investment company,
ARQUES Industries AG (ISIN DE0005156004), has reduced its share in the
print holding company, ARQUANA International Print & Media AG (ISIN
DE0006781008), to 19.78%. Buyer is PRINTEC Investments Ltd. with head
office in Birmingham, Great Britain. The parties agreed not to disclose the
purchase price. ARQUES had already reduced its share in ARQUANA at the end
of 2006 according to plan to below 50% and has since only consolidated the
company using the equity method. ARQUES is convinced that this transaction
is an important step for the strategic advancement of ARQUANA.
