Release of an announcement according to Article 21 Section 1 of the WpHG
[the German Securities Trading Act] in accordance with Article 26 of the
WpHG

RM 2750 Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH (in future: VARIS Vermögensverwaltungs
GmbH), located in Munich, Federal Republic of Germany, has informed us by
its managing director, Ms. Gabriele Wahl-Multerer, that it exceeded the
threshold of voting rights of 3% and 5% in the company as of August 28,
2007, and holds 5.33% of the voting rights (2,773,066 shares of JENOPTIK
AG) as of this day.
