Munich, January 4, 2008 – In the fiscal year 2007, the Munich fashion group
LUDWIG BECK (ISIN DE 0005199905) could see a significant increase in sales
compared to the previous year. The company generated a gross turnover of €
103.5m, equaling a 2.1 % increase over the previous year (€ 101.3m).
Turnover on comparable areas went up by 3.2 %. Christmas sales ended up
very gratifying and contributed considerably to this turnover development.
'The last year was marked, above all, with the restyling of our flagship
store at Marienplatz', Dieter Münch, Financial Director at LUDWIG BECK
explains. 'Therefore we are really pleased that we have been able to
clearly increase our sales results. This development shows that our trading
up strategy starts to bear fruit', Dieter Münch continues.
For the current fiscal year 2008, the Executive Board of LUDWIG BECK AG is
expecting a clear continuation of the positive earnings and sales trend.
Detailed financial figures for the fiscal year 2007 will be published on
March 14, 2008.
