Barclays Bank PLC., London, Großbritannien, hat uns mit Schreiben vom 10.
Januar 2008 die folgende Mitteilung gemacht:

'Below, we would like to make the following notification in the name of our
subsidiary Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited, 1 Churchill
Place, London, E14 5HP, England regarding the holding of voting rights held
in Bilfinger Berger AG, Carl-Reiß-Platz 1-5, 68165 Mannheim, according to
§§ 21, 22 WpHG:

1 Notification of voting rights in the name and on behalf of Barclays
Global Investors UK Holdings Limited

Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited, 1 Churchill Place, London,
E14 5HP, England, exceeded the 3% threshold of § 21 para. 1 WpHG on 4
January 2008 and held 3.09% of the voting rights (i.e. 1,149,878 shares
with voting rights) in Bilfinger Berger AG.

Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Limited was attributed these 3.09% of
the voting rights (i.e. 1,149,878 shares with voting rights) in Bilfinger
Berger AG pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG in connection with §
22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG via subsidiaries none of which had itself a
shareholding of 3% or more of the voting rights in Bilfinger Berger AG.'
