Norddeutsche Affinerie Aktiengesellschaft ('NA') has achieved the minimum
acceptance threshold of 80% as well as the threshold of 90% upon expiry of
the acceptance period fixed for the takeover offer regarding the Belgian
Cumerio NV/SA ('Cumerio').

The acceptance period for NA’s takeover offer for Cumerio has expired, on
Friday, 15 February 2008, at 4 pm German time. The requirement of the
acquisition of at least 80% of the Cumerio shares has been met by NA.
Furthermore, the threshold of 90% of the Cumerio shares has also been
achieved, which will result, in compliance with the terms of the offer
document, in a reopening of the offer.

NA points out that the final outcome of the acceptance of the takeover
offer by the Cumerio shareholders will, however, be published in accordance
with Belgian law not before Wednesday, 20. February 2008.

This notice is no notice given to the shareholders of Cumerio in accordance
with Belgian law or the terms of the offer document. This notice also does
not substitute any notice under Belgian law or in accordance with the terms
of the offer document. For this reason, no rights arising under the offer
document may be based upon this notice.
