dated 2 July 2008 pursuant to Section 21 paragraph 1 German Securities
Trading Act in connection with Section 24 German Securities Trading Act
that the voting interest of its subsidiary, Lamatos GmbH, Hamburg, Germany,
in Norddeutsche Affinerie AG, Hamburg, Germany (ISIN: DE0006766504, WKN:
676650), had exceeded the 3 % threshold on 30 June 2008 and now amounted
to 4.54 % (1,857,715 shares of a total of 40,869,479 shares of Norddeutsche
Affinerie AG).

In terms of disclosure requirements, this has not changed the voting
interest of HSH Nordbank AG, Hamburg und Kiel, Germany (see notification
dated 14 November 2007).
