In the first half of 2008 Hamburger Hafen und Logistik Aktiengesellschaft
(HHLA) boosted throughput in its Container segment by 7.3 percent to 3.737
million standard containers (TEU). Throughput for the same period of 2007
was 3.483 million standard containers (TEU).
This figure puts HHLA ahead of 3.8 percent container growth for the Port of
Hamburg as a whole, which was announced by Hamburg Hafen Marketing e.V. at
its half-yearly press conference today.
HHLA will be publishing additional throughput and financial figures on 14
August 2008.
