Fidelity International hat uns im Namen von FIL Limited, P.O. Box HM 670,
Hamilton HMCX, Bermuda mit Schreiben vom 25. Juli 2008 gemäß § 21 (1) WpHG
wie folgt mitgeteilt:

'In the name of and on behalf of FIL Limited, P.O. Box HM 670, Hamilton
HMCX, Bermuda we hereby notify you pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG of the
following:

On 24 July 2008 FIL Limited crossed above the threshold of 3% of the voting
rights in SMA Solar Technology AG, Sonnenallee 1, 34266 Niestetal, Germany.
On that date, FIL Limited held 3,01% of the voting rights in SMA Solar
Technology AG arising from 1,044,448 voting rights.

All voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG were attributed to FIL Limited
pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 WpHG.'
