Fidelity International hat uns im Namen von FIL Investment Management
Limited, Oakhill House, 130 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough, Kent, England,
mit Schreiben vom 25. Juli 2008 gemäß § 21 (1) WpHG wie folgt mitgeteilt:

'In the name of and on behalf of FIL Investment Management Limited, Oakhill
House, 130 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough, Kent, England we hereby notify
you pursuant to section 21 (1) WpHG of the following:

On 24 July 2008 FIL Investment Management Limited crossed above the
threshold of 3% of the voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG,
Sonnenallee 1, 34266 Niestetal, Germany. On that date, FIL Investment
Management Limited held 3,01% of the voting rights in SMA Solar Technology
AG arising from 1,044,448 voting rights.

All voting rights in SMA Solar Technology AG were attributed to FIL
Investment Management Limited pursuant to section 22 (1) sent. 1 no. 6 in
connection with sent. 2 WpHG.'
